Referral of S.O. v. Spain to the Grand Chamber

The Panel of the Grand Chamber decided on 3 November 2025 that the following case be referred to the Grand Chamber: S.O. v. Spain, no. 5742/22.
The case concerns the extent of the duty on medical professionals to inform a patient in advance of a potential extension of a surgical intervention for that patient’s consent to be considered informed.
